Board of Education Commits Increased Revenue to Lowering Tax Impact
4.2% Increase is Lowest in Nine Years
The Yorktown Central School District Board of Education voted to return additional State funding of $900,000, plus another $525,000 to the community. This $1,425,000 return reduces the tax rate increase of the proposed 2008-2009 budget to 4.2%, the lowest increase in nine years. 1.2% of the increase is for the first payment of bond debt to support voter approved capital projects.

More About Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballots may be obtained from the District Clerk’s Office, YCSD Administration Building at 2725 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights, N.Y. 10598. Applications for absentee ballots may be obtained from the District Clerk by mail or in person. If the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, the application must be received by the District Clerk no later than May 13th. Ballots for applications received after May 13th must be picked up at YCSD Administration building.
