The role of the Yorktown Board of Education is to develop and establish policies governing the operation of the Yorktown Central Schools. Responsibility for implementation of these policies is given to the Board's Chief Executive Officer, the Superintendent of Schools.

Members of the Board serve without compensation. They are elected to three year terms by qualified voters residing within the school district.

You are invited to attend all regular business meetings, special meetings and work sessions of the Board of Education.
