Boo and Cecil Grace are the driving force behind Operation Positive Role Model that has helped the Mildred E. Strang Middle School foster an environment in which students are honored and recognized by other students for acts of kindness. The F. Cecil Grace Foundation’s generous support has allowed the school to build a variety of positive role model programs. They are flourishing and so are the students. See pictures from this year's awards dinner, which recognized 97 wonderful students.
Welcoming Yorktown’s senior citizens for Intergenerational Day, a full day of discussions about history, technology, Yorktown during the Depression, during World War II and during its growth, gave our students a unique learning opportunity. Take a few minutes to watch:
