The Science Research Foundation supports the Science Research program at Yorktown High School with resources that serve to enhance the program.
Its goals are:
- To defray ancillary costs of the program to students.
- To create mentor, alumni, and parent resources databases.
- To support in-school seminars and informal mentoring opportunities on pertinent research topics.
- To help identify professional mentors for student projects.
- To engage corporate sponsorship on a more direct level.
- To champion the program within the school community and beyond.

Travel Reimbursement
The Foundation will reimburse students in Mr. Blueglass’s Science Research class for travel expenses, to help cover the expenses incurred by the students that are not covered by the budget.
These expenses must be for travel to and from the mentor’s office or lab. More specifically, for parking, gas, train, bus, taxi, etc.
The reimbursement period will run June2 to June 1 in any given year. The Foundation will reimburse up to $200 per student per year. Paper work must be submitted by June 1.
